MCA 2004

This page chronicles the adventures of the Victoria Curling Club's "Team McConnell"  During the 2004 Manitoba Curling Association Bonspiel.

 The Boys are back.  The 2004 MCA spiel will see the best that Team McConnell can whip up.  Having bought them selves for $110.00 in the Victoria CC. calcutta, these guys are out to make some serious cash.

Team introductions...

Skip: Jeff "Is there any other place you's want'a be"McConnell - A mild mannered X-Ray technologists by day, but at night (When not watching the Boston Bruins or WWF) he is "Super Skip". Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound (well not really but it sounded good).

In this truly Democratic Team the rest share the remaining duties...

Brian "I think I pulled the string" Gmiterek joins the group as a spare for a couple of games.  Brian come from good strong Manitoba stock, has good speed, good teeth, but is questionable at 3 furlongs.

Tom "I love this time of year" Walus

Ric "Don't touch my Rock t-shirt" Jobse

Kent "Show me your puppies" Simmons

And Doug "The Man". Unfortunately for us Doug won't be able to curl with us this year since he's on a cruise to Venezuela... We all feel really bad for Doug, but I guess he will survive.

Once again the rink will wear the colours of the Med Lab Men,s Club.  A proud tradition dating back 12 months.
