Draw # 1 Thursday January 22, 2004.
9:00 pm La Salle CC.
Last year the boys started their First (cold) draw at Stony Mountain. (some how -26oC seems colder at Stony Mountain that anywhere else). This year we head south to the warmer climes of La Salle (-25oC).
The first draw has Team McConnell clashing with Team Pitura

After the customary shaking of the hands... Team McConnell was still in the Free Press Event.

Team Pitura struggled but they giggled alot too. They will certainly play better as the weekend goes on. In seven ends it was all over but the drinking.

The Pitura team had to replace the box of tissues under the Pepsi sign. Buck up fellows, from the looks of you you all probably take the Sun anyway.
So here is the path the boys of Team McConnell have planned. Win the Free Press event move on the the Safeway Select. Win the Provincial Championship and move on to the Briar. Sweep through that like a Manitoba thunderstorm and then take the worlds in Sweden! And as we all know it's always good to have a backup plan. Try to get through to Sunday without falling down, then go back to work on Monday.
